Goodbye to our Colombian friends!

Today we say goodbye to our largest group of the summer, the ANAYA group from Colombia! We hope you have a safe flight back to Bogotá!

Photo Chase

This week's wide game was Photo Chase, a team game that involves completing photo challenges in large teams. Here is one of our teams trying to organise a photo of their team hugging a tree!

Cadbury World

 Our excursion to Cadbury World went down a treat (pun intended) with all the sweet-toothed students at Sir Edward. We set off for the village of Bournville to see the factory where all the magic happens, and went for a factory tour to see how all our favourite chocolates are made.

We're off to see the wizard...

We had a wonderful excursion to London this Wednesday, to see the smash-hit musical The Wizard of Oz! We admired the sights of London from our boat cruise, and took this great picture of Tower Bridge with the Olympic Rings!

Movie Time

We love Wednesday nights here at Sir Edward, because we all get into our pyjamas and watch movies with our houses and teddies. Here is house manager Sophie, with our Hill House mascot!

Forget London 2012, it's all about Ely 2012!

To celebrate the long-awaited London 2012 Olympics, here at Sir Edward we had our own Mini-Olympics! We designed flags to incorporate the mix of nationalities we have here at school.

Check out this beautiful flag, a blend of Japan, China and the UK!

Our German team were ecstatic to take home the gold! Here they are celebrating, and giving us a second rendition of the national anthem they created especially for the occasion!

Monday Wide Games... We do them BIG!

Here are some photos from our Monday Wide Game - ULTIMATE GEM QUEST! With a tremendous victory from the yellow team, we enjoyed the good weather on our largest school field while we searched for hundreds and hundreds of gems!

Ely's Got Talent 2012

The 2012 Sir Edward Talent Show has gone down in history as our best ever! Featuring diverse acts from around the world, including a rendition of the English National Anthem!

 In 3rd Place were our Japanese Students with their traditional Fisherman Dance.

 In joint 2nd place were Jorge from Colombia, for playing the piano

and Katerina from Russia for her dance routine.

The Sir Edward 2012 Talent Show winners were Sam and Maxim, for their incredible piano and dance show!
