Studio Olympics

On Saturday we had Studio Olympics.

Each team was assigned a country (we made the flags ourselves!)

 We had lots of little competitions.

Over and Under

Running races.

The wheelbarrow race.

The Egg & Spoon Race

The Three-Legged Race

And the Hoola Hoop!

It was really fun!

Cake!

At Sir Edward we get cookies twice a day...but sometimes we get cake too!

 

One of our activities was cake decorating!

Shiver me timbers! Pirate Party

After our trip on Sunday we had a Pirate Party.

 

We made pirate hats and painted our faces.

There were some friendly pirates.

 

And some scary ones!

 

All of the staff were pirates.

 

 

And there was even a pirate giving us cookies.

 

Arrrrrrrr!

 

 We played games, for cannon blast we threw balls through a pirate ship.

 

And we decorated pirate hats.

 

And parrots to put on our shoulders.

 

 

And 'Pin the Parrot on the Pirate'

 

We had a really great time.

(Look out for the scary pirate!)

Chocolate Factory

On Sunday we had an excursion to Cadbury's Chocolate Factory.

We learned about the history of chocolate, and how it is made.

 

We found the Cadbury's Gorilla (and lots of other cheeky monkeys!)

 

 

Most importantly we had lots and lots of chocolate!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Excursion to London

On Wednesday we went to London.

It was lovely and sunny and the city was busy but we saw lots of sights!

 

We saw the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.

 

We saw Downing Street and Horseguard's Parade.

 

We really enjoyed seeing the horses.

 

After that we went shopping in Covent Garden.

 

Then we saw the musical Wicked which was amazing!

Trip to Cambridge (We went punting)

On Friday we had a trip to Cambridge.

We had some time to look around the city and do some shoppping.

Then we went punting!

 

We were taken along the river Cam by a friendly guide who told us all about the things we could see.

 

It was really fun being on the water.

 

Next time when we go to Cambridge (on Friday) we will visit Kings College Chapel.

Welcome to Sir Edward!

Everyone has arrived and we have been really busy!

 

We have had lessons and lots of activities.

We decorated bags. All of the students were very creative!

 

We played tennis.

 

We played football. It was very sunny!

In the evening we played a Wide Game on a huge field. Everyone was searching for gems.

We had to chase the AO's!

After the Wide Game we were very tired, but it was really fun!

Tomorrow we are excited to go to London to see some sights and watch the musical 'Wicked'!
